It’s easy to pinpoint someone when they’re wrong, but in reality should
we or should we not? In some cases, people seem to be getting too emotionally
and without second taught, get smacked in the mouth! Honestly, sometimes I do!
Sometimes you just can’t get yourself a pause to think and everything just
smacked in!
Everyone makes honest mistakes and a lot of times they’re not that adept
to see their own faults. Although embedded in criticism constructively convey to
help us to get better but not everyone receive your good intentions across, it
just uncomfortable, like putting salt into their open wound and you’re just
another fool delivering a meaningless good message.
A friend told me before if that person kept on telling you when you’re
doing wrong; it means it has gets to a point where they don’t want to hang
around with you anymore. I got this message 2 years back when I told him my
situation in my workplace. My senior was unfair to me. She
assigned me with extra accounts because she said my colleagues cannot handle
it and assigned me one of her duties few weeks later because the management
decided to make me a senior. I rejected and told her, "I’m not ready,
moreover I can’t promise I can deliver that much and don't you think you have put on too much weight on me." She declined my rejection and
say, “The management say is either I take it or leave it whether I like it or
not!” What can I say? Here comes the infuriating strategy just like showering
praise early on, only to switch gears and unload with the bad news.
Recalling the day when I handle my resignation letter to her, and I saw a satisfied smile
on her face. Although this is the most regretful company I ever work with but nevertheless
there’s no word to criticize! Why? Because I felt it is meaningless when you
understand the person you’re going to criticize is someone who can’t handle the
truth! So by the end of the day I choose to shut my mouth and learn to forgive.
